Longjiang Town, covering an area of 73.8 km2 with permanent resident population of 300,000, is located in the west of Shunde, is one of the important regional central cities and transportation junctions in the west of Pearl River Delta and also national key town as well as provincial central town. In 2017, Longjiang realized total industrial output value of CNY 78.356 billion.
An industrial system with furniture and plastic building material as its two pillars coexisting with home appliances, food and beverage, textile and garment, and other industries has formed in Longjiang for the time being. Now, there are more than 20,000 industrial and commercial enterprises, 2 famous brands of China, 14 provincially famous products, and 16 provincially famous brands. In terms of furniture industry, Longjiang is one of the origin places of cluster development of modern furniture of China. At present, the largest and the most sophisticated industrial chain of furniture in China or even in the world with furniture manufacturing as its lead, integrating product development, material trade, painting manufacturing, wooden machinery, supporting hardware, furniture trade, and tertiary industry has formed. The total output and treading amount of upstream and downstream of industrial chain reach CNY 100 billion. Longjiang is the “Important Town of Furniture Manufacturing of China”, “Town of Furniture Material of China”, and “Town of Furniture E-commerce of China”. In the aspect of plastic building material industry, Longjiang owns the regional brand of “Town of Plastic Building Material Industry of China”, with more than 200 plastic building material enterprises whose output value exceeds CNY 15 billion and productivity accounts for approximately 26% of the country, ranking first in the country.
